Angelica and I will be attending the Association of Children's Museums annual conference, InterActivity 2010, May 6-8 in St. Paul Minnesota. We'll be posting about the event so stayed tuned later this week.

There is one program I would like one (or both) of you to attend if at all possible: It is at 2:45pm on Thursday and it is called "Professional Perspectives". It is different vendors talking about the stages and steps to opening a new museum.
ReplyDeleteWe'll definitely take in that one. There have been a few changes to the program since we signed up but when we picked up our badges today we were told we can switch sessions (unless it's something we've paid extra for).
ReplyDeleteIt's really cold here for us Californians. On the TV news they said it was it was 79 degrees here yesterday but there could be a little snow that won't stick later in the week. I did bring a wool sweater and a fleecy jacket as well as lots of layers but it was still cold walking back from a very late lunch.
An odd thing we noticed here in the heartland. Our hotel has a Starbucks which was closed at 3pm! There is also a restaurant but it was closed between lunch and dinner. I can't think when I've seen that in a large business hotel.
The conference starts tomorrow with breakfast and I'm sure we'll have lots to write in the coming days.

I'm glad you both arrived safely and I'm looking forward to hearing about the conference!
